PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE

What are classes like
at
Ciało DJ Academy?

Classes at Ciało DJ Academy take place in a unique setting — at Ciało club, which regularly hosts electronic music artists from Poland and abroad. From the very first classes, participants work on a professional club setup, exactly the same one used at major events.

The course lasts one semester and includes 14 sessions of 4 hours each, held twice a month in the evening. Beginner groups consist of a maximum of 4 participants, while advanced groups have up to 8 participants split between two rooms. This ensures that everyone gets guaranteed time on the decks and individual feedback from the instructors.

The culmination of the course is a showcase at Ciało club – a performance by the students on a full club setup and in front of a live audience. For some, it will be their first step onto the stage; for others, an opportunity to strengthen their skills and test themselves in a professional environment.

Dr. Obliterane

DJ, PRODUCER, PROMOTER, BOOKER

Italo-Albanian DJ and producer Dr. Obliterane is rooted in the energy of rave culture, with a musical background that bridges hard techno, hardstyle, and hardbounce, as well as early influences from metal. Founder of the Hard Injection project and booker at Ciało, he approaches music with an uncompromising passion for harder and faster sounds.

He first stepped into nightlife and onto the decks in 2012, inspired after attending his first techno rave (Len Faki). While he initially experimented with EDM, his true ambition was always to dedicate himself to Hard Dance Music. Between 2016 and 2022 he took a break from performing, but continued to immerse himself in the European festival circuit as a devoted raver.

Relocating to Poland in 2022 reignited his artistic path: debuting at Ciało with Odwi33rt in December 2023, and soon after releasing his first track Shutdown. His guiding motto ever since: “The only way is up.”

With over a decade of experience as both an artist and a raver, Dr. Obliterane brings authenticity to his relationship with the community, guided by mutual respect and genuine passion. His sets traverse BPMs from 145 to 165, blending bounce, schranz, neorave, hardstyle, and industrial into a relentless and cohesive journey.

DYYUꓵE

DYYUNE is a Wrocław-based DJ, producer, and vinyl digger who has been active on the scene for over 15 years. His work spans a wide range of genres, including disco, funk, soul, jazz, italo, and above all many forms of house music, as well as trance (primarily from the 1990s), techno, and electro, especially in the Detroit sound. He is a representative of the label The Very Polish Cut-Outs, where he released, among others, his debut LP “WYYDMA”, and one half of the duo Zuchy, known for official vinyl remixes such as “Za Mało Czasu” for Fisz Emade Tworzywo, “High” for Skalpel, and “Oczyszczenie” for PRO8L3M. He also co-creates the Odra Vice collective and runs an online vinyl record store.

On his approach to DJing: “My primary tool as a DJ is vinyl records, although I have nothing against playing from digital media and I also use them myself from time to time, especially when I play my own unreleased productions. Both forms of DJing have their advantages and disadvantages, which I’ll be happy to talk about during my course. What’s also important to me is an awareness of the place and time you’re playing in — different selections work for a warm-up, peak time, or closing in a club like Ciało, and something else entirely for an event in a space like Recepcja at the Wrocław neon signs, where you can also often hear my sets. In my opinion, the ability to select from a broad spectrum of music and play it in the right place and at the right time is the foundation of being a good DJ. However, to make that possible, you first need to learn how to operate the equipment and the techniques of using it. Finding the right balance between technique and selection, as well as different ways of discovering music, will be key elements of my course.”

Keczup

Most of you know that our resident kEczuP regularly plays at some of the best clubs in Berlin and at top-tier festivals (including Garbicz this year). However, few people know that he has also had the chance to prove himself as a teacher. Not only by giving private lessons, which he did as a side job a few years ago, but also during his studies, when he took on the challenge of writing a PhD — a project that his club career ultimately helped derail.

His innate empathy and positive spirit help him share knowledge, ensuring classes take place in a relaxed atmosphere. The fact that he loves juggling styles and feels at home at all kinds of parties means he’ll likely find something exciting in your selection, no matter what world it comes from.

Thanks to a strong technical and educational background, Trans Timmermans brings a unique perspective to his work, combining hands-on club experience with a passion for sharing knowledge.
